Significance of Math in our lives:Math is the foundation of all learning. Only subject that combines left brain and right brain. Mathematics is all around us and numbers rule our lives.

Some gaps in Math teaching approach:The way of teaching arithmetic calculations has not changed in last 50 years. Your kid is probably learning math the same way as you did. We can't really expect anyone to learn with the dinosaur method of learning and turn into a genius. Most children today are either not interested in math or learn math in a mechanical manner.
